Artists frequently need high quality photographs of their work to submit entries for shows and exhibits, to use on their website, and to make giclee prints for sale. I provide artwork duplication services for a number of local painters as well as 3-Dimensional artists. I can also provide archival ink jet prints on photo paper or canvas up to 44 inches wide.
Fully Color Managed Process: Matching the colors of the original artwork is critical. I use a fully color-managed workflow and include a standard color reference chart with every piece of art to ensure that the colors match as closely as possible.
High Resolution: I use a 60 megapixel camera system to capture all of the fine details in the original work.
Non-glare Lighting: Oil and acrylic paintings frequently have a glossy finish that creates reflections and hot spots caused by normal lighting. I use cross-polarized lighting to virtually eliminate reflections so the artwork can be seen clearly.
Various File Sizes: Artists frequently need a variety of sizes; small versions to post online, medium size files to submit to shows, and large, high-resolution files that can be printed. I routinely supply all three sizes for each itiem photographed so you don't have to worry about resizing the digital photos.
A number of standard packages are available. These have been specifically structured to meet the needs of most clients. Of course, we will work with you to design a customized packge to suit your individual needs.
Prints are produced using professional quality printers and paper. Finished prints are sprayed with a protective lacquer to enhance durability. Modern prints are typically rated at more than 100 years before there is any noticeable fading.
I also recommend that prints 8 X 10 inches or larger be mounted to a firm backing board so that framed prints won't wrinkle or sag over time.Custom matting and framing is also available.
